Opera has released a new developer version of its new browser, Opera OneThis is the new version (still in testing) of the browser, which has a new design and should replace the Opera browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux later this year. With the launch, the Opera One also becomes the first major Chromium-based browser with a multithreaded compositor that brings the user interface to life.
One of the big new things about Opera One is the integration of a multithreaded compositor that brings the user interface to life, enabling the implementation of innovative features. The new feature, called "Tab Islands," offers an experience similar to Safari's Tab Groups and other browsers, allowing the creation of tab sets and switching between them as needed. This exciting update comes shortly after the company integrated its first generative artificial intelligence features, including AI Prompts and access to ChatGPT and ChatSonic.
To the Tab Islands are automatically created to keep tabs together within the same browsing context.Additionally, it's possible to create tab islands manually by grouping related tabs and then creating a new island with a right-click. Tabs can also be moved between islands by dragging and dropping or added to an existing island using the plus button.
With the addition of Tab Islands and the integration of generative artificial intelligence features, Opera One promises to revolutionize the browsing experience.

Generative AI in the browser
The Opera browser was Updated with Artificial Intelligence features, This paved the way for a redesign with a new way of dealing with AI and enhancing the user's browsing experience.
The web has become smarter and faster with generative AI, and it hopes to lead with the current changes. In addition to the integration of generative AI, the Opera One sidebar follows the standard of Opera and other browsers. It allows quick access to players, messengers, and workspaces such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Spotify, and Apple Music.Although it is in the testing phase and not recommended for productivity purposes, Opera One is already available for download.
Other browsers have also been betting on artificial intelligence to bring more features to users, as was the case with the integration of Bing into Microsoft Edge earlier this year and the new features recently announced by Google for Chrome.
Currently, Opera One is available in an early access version for developers and can be downloaded for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
