How does it work?

After locking a conversation with a password, it will be moved to the "Locked Conversations" section. The feature will also help maintain the privacy of media files, such as photos and videos sent in locked conversations. If someone tries to access the chat without providing a password or biometric authentication, the conversation will be deleted.

However, with this new feature, the Users will have the option to choose specific conversations to lock with a password or biometrics, which will significantly increase privacy. Within the app, the user will have access to a tab containing all blocked conversations.

However, WhatsApp has not yet officially confirmed this feature, making it impossible to know if it will be implemented in the final version of the app or when that might happen.
